This year I decided to make the kinder egg at home for Elisa, it seemed a sweet thing to make the egg with my hands and put a surprise inside it purely for her. Making the Easter egg at home is easy and above all cheap, just one or two polycarbonate or silicone molds, a good chocolate and you can have fun creating all the chocolate eggs you want to the taste you want and for the people who most you care, a few years ago I prepared the hazelnut egg for Ivano and this year it could only touch my little girl :) Well friends, obviously this week's recipes are all Easter, so prepare chocolate, eggs and salami, basins and good start of the week.

Method

How to make homemade Kinder egg

Melt the milk chocolate in a thick-bottomed saucepan over low heat or in the microwave. If you have the time and desire and are equipped with a pastry thermometer, temper the chocolate following this guide

Pour the melted chocolate into the molds
Tilt the mold to distribute the chocolate throughout the mold. Now put in the fridge or freezer to harden
In the meantime, melt the white chocolate and let it cool, I recommend it must be melted but not liquid

Now pour the white chocolate on the milk chocolate shell and quickly tilt the second layer of chocolate to the distributor well. Put back in the freezer to harden

When the shells are completely firm, remove the shells trying to get some air between the mold and the layer of chocolate. Then turn the two cooking halves upside down on a plane


Now put the surprise inside the chocolate egg

Add the two egg halves by passing a hot knife over one of the edges or brushing with a little chocolate along the edges and making the two halves adhere

Wait until the chocolate is solidified then unfold it and put it on a glass

Many, too many of you, had asked me for the recipe to prepare Easter eggs at home, and the first one I decided to publish is that of the kinder egg, to the delight of the little ones (let's say so!) . I took advantage of this recipe to give you an alternative, faster and less complicated way to temper the chocolate without a thermometer: just melt half the chocolate, remove it from the bain-marie and add the other half of the chocolate. I didn't think so, and instead the result was excellent! Those wishing to follow the classic method or know what chocolate tempering is, can click here. )

To prepare the kinder easter egg I used two molds, in order to speed up all the operations (also because I decided to prepare other variations, and the time factor is fundamental for me!: D). If you have only one mold, divide the amount of chocolate in half and dedicate yourself first to one half and then to the other, always following the entire procedure. To avoid unsightly fingerprints on eggs (like mine: P), you can use latex gloves to handle the egg. The measures of my mold are 14x20cm (if you have difficulty finding it, you can buy it here), the quantity of chocolate is rounded up, because when you prepare eggs and chocolates, you must never go right with the doses, but abound and then in the case to keep what is left over. Just put it on baking paper to cool and then you can keep it like the classic chocolate in bars! : D

Ingredients for the homemade kinder egg

Melt half of the milk chocolate in a bain-marie. The water must never boil, the chocolate must melt very slowly, so do not rush. :)

Once completely melted, remove the saucepan from the pot with the water from the bain-marie, and add the other half of the chocolate. Stir until dissolved.

and very quickly cover all sides (if you want you can help yourself with a brush!). Turn over on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, in order to recover the excess chocolate.

Wait five minutes and clean the edges. My chocolate set quickly, so be quick! If you see that the edges are too thin, add a little melted chocolate to thicken them, otherwise you will have difficulty closing the two halves later.

Clean the edges well with a knife.

Now melt half of the white chocolate in a bain-marie, again without boiling the water.

When it has melted, remove the saucepan with the chocolate from the one with the hot water, and add the rest of the chocolate, stirring until it has melted. If you find it difficult to get it completely dissolved, put it in the water bath again for a minute. )

Pour half of the chocolate into each mold

and make it adhere to the entire surface.

Clean the edges again with the knife. I left it at room temperature for about twenty minutes and the two halves came out of the molds without problems. It must be said that in the kitchen it was (on purpose) cold. In case, but if it were really necessary, put the molds in the fridge for no more than ten minutes, perhaps closing them inside a cake holder, so as not to allow the humidity of the fridge to be absorbed.

Now to close the two halves you can either melt a little milk chocolate in a bain-marie, apply it with a pastry bag with a very thin spout on one of the two halves and then open with the other, or you can heat a pan, place one half (or if you want both) of the egg for a couple of seconds, and quickly combine them. Don't forget the surprise eh !! : D

Kinder-flavored ice cream is a favorite of children. That's why we decided to make it by recycling Kinder chocolate Easter eggs.

A very simple recipe to prepare without an ice cream maker and with only 3 ingredients: Kinder chocolate, condensed milk and fresh whipping cream.

In 5 minutes it is done and then it must be cooled for at least 4 hours in the freezer and the snack is served. A delightful invention that will leave the whole family pleasantly amazed. With these doses will be around 500 grams of ice cream which should be enough for 4 servings.

Preparing Easter eggs with children is by no means an impossible task. Just follow our recipe to the letter and you will have a healthy Easter egg without preservatives or dyes. It's also a great way to save money, but also to keep kids busy cooking.

The ingrediants are the same as theKinder chocolate egg. For your egg you will need:

  • 150 gr of milk chocolate
  • 150 gr of White chocolate
  • Egg molds (h 22 cm)

Also equip yourself with a couple of latex gloves to avoid leaving fingerprints on the surface of the egg during preparation and a cake thermometer (the right temperature of the chocolate is essential in the preparation process). The hardest part is definitely the tempering, which consists of a series of steps that give the egg shine and plasticity. When you melt the chocolate in a bain-marie you have to bring it to a temperature of 45 °, then let it cool and work it with a spatula on a surface and bring it to 27 ° C if the chocolate is milk. At this point it is dissolved again until it reaches a temperature of 29 °. To do this you need to arm yourself with a lot of patience.

As for the Kinder egg molds, if you are a beginner, those in transparent plastic are better than those in metal.

CHOCOLATE CHIPS

One piece of advice I would like to give you to improve the recipes is to specify better for example the type of ingredients you use (such as 0, 00 flour or other) because I notice that in many recipes they are not specified or the temperature (e.g. for these buns when I have given the brush with the egg before baking they deflated because the egg was cold from the fridge .. disaster recovered anyway!), for the rest I love everything you propose .. it always continues like this!
